Job summary

G & H Towing Company in Texas is seeking a Watch Stander to serve as the primary communications link between vessels, pilots, towing partners, agents, customers, and shoreside staff. The position supports harbor tug operations across the Ports of Houston, Galveston/Texas City, Freeport, and Corpus Christi.

Initial shift is Mon-Fri 07:00-16:00 for two months, followed by a night 12-hour shift 15:30-03:30, with a two-on/two-off pattern and alternating weekends. G&H is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

• Receives harbor tug orders for Houston, Galveston/Texas City, Freeport and Corpus Christi.
• Shift plan: first 2 months Mon–Fri 07:00–16:00; then night shifts 15:30–03:30 with 2-on/2-off and alternating weekends.

Job Summary

• The Watch Stander is a primary communicator between vessels, pilots, towing companies, agents, customers, and shoreside personnel.
• Receives orders from the harbor master, agents, and other representatives requiring harbor tug services in the Ports of Houston, Galveston/Texas City, Freeport, and Corpus Christi.
• The shift during the first two months will be Monday – Friday 0700 to 1600 and then transition to a night shift working 12‑hour shifts from 1530 to 0330, two days on, two days off, and every other weekend work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and the following weekend will be off Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
