The Role

Are you passionate about client service and ready to join a fast-paced, collaborative, dynamic team? This is a unique, innovative opportunity for skilled communicators who are highly effective in problem solving, technology platforms, and client service.

You’ll work side by side with one teammate in our Lenexa, KS command center as part of a two-person dispatch team. Call and dispatch volume is growing, and this role is central to keeping our drivers moving and our clients on schedule.

Schedule

• Thursday through Saturday every week, plus every other Wednesday
• Shifts run from 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (12-hour shifts)
• This works out to three shifts one week and four shifts the next

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and ensure timely coverage of driver trips
• Optimize driver trip coverage options across multiple technology and dispatch platforms
• Monitor trip accuracy and provide support where needed at multi-monitor workstations. Note that this role is 100% onsite at our Lenexa, KS command center. Remote or work-from-home arrangements are not available for this role currently.
• Maintain accurate and timely tracking of crew trips, client chats, and scheduling applications in coordination with onsite team.
• Maintain collegial environment onsite and be a team player in group tracking environment. This role requires immediate, face-to-face coordination with teammates to coordinate each incoming trip.
• Escalate issues to field operations or clients when appropriate
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate records in our internal systems
• Communicate professionally with field management and other team members
• Monitor multiple active trips at once across several screens, including rideshare platforms and live chats with rail crews
• Coordinate in real time with your on-shift teammate to decide who handles each trip as it comes in
• Manage a growing volume of inbound calls and driver dispatches

Qualifications

• 2-4+ years’ experience in dynamic, fast-paced operations center or call center environments
• Excellent reliability and dependable onsite attendance
• Strong client service and phone communication skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Demonstrated professionalism and business maturity in an office environment
• Asserts ownership for projects and assigned activities, meets deadlines
• Comfortable multitasking across multiple screens, systems, and communication channels at once. Utilize all dispatch systems and equipment which are maintained at the command center.
• Available to work early-morning 12-hour shifts, including Saturdays
