Job summary

Strong communication skills and proficiency with MS Outlook, Excel, and Word are required for day-to-day operations. You will work with multiple departments to optimize routes, handle inquiries, and support problem resolution on route.

Qualifications

• Completion of high school is required; post-secondary courses are assets.
• 1-2 years in transportation, dispatch, or customer service roles preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Proficiency with MS Office and adequate typing speed required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule service and satisfy customer needs for service changes.
• Dispatch calls to routes based on route and driver location.
• Perform driver check-ins to ensure complete paperwork.
• Distribute, review route sheets for end-of-day data entry.
• Coordinate with other departments to resolve service issues.
• May perform additional tasks as assigned by Operations Manager.
• Interact with customers, customer service, sales and Operations staff.
• Work with routing specialists to optimize routes.
• Handle incoming calls and emails from customers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve delivery/pickup problems proactively.
• Assist in determining daily driver staffing levels for responsiveness and productivity.
• Record and distribute driver information to appropriate departments.
• Communicate with maintenance shop personnel.
• Communicate effectively via email, phone, and two-way devices.
