Job summary

GFT Ready Mix in Phoenix, AZ is hiring an experienced Ready Mix Order Taker - Shipper to support order intake and shipping operations. You will work 100% on-site, using Command Series to take orders and coordinate with drivers.

The role requires strong customer service, dispatch software familiarity, and ability to handle changing priorities. Weekend availability may be required. A family-run environment with competitive weekly pay and comprehensive benefits after 45 days.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in customer service (call center/dispatching preferred).
• Ready mix industry experience preferred.
• Previous dispatch software experience preferred.
• Computer literacy including Microsoft Office; typing 40+ WPM.

Responsibilities

• Take orders from customers via Command Series Software and ensure accurate input into the system.
• Assist customers in identifying products for end uses and complete order intake.
• Print tickets and ship orders using the Command System for plants.
• Monitor schedules and customer orders to anticipate trucking demands.
• Complete required daily reports and perform additional duties as assigned.

We are seeking an experienced Ready Mix Order Taker - Shipper who is responsible for order taking and shipping to facilitate the deployment of our goods and services. Prior ready mix dispatching experience preferred.

Location

100% on-site – Phoenix, AZ 85043

Schedule

Monday–Saturday availability, typically 7:00 AM–4:00 PM. Hours may vary based on business needs.

Job Duties

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Taking orders from customers via Command Series Software, input orders into the system as they are requested and help assist customers in identifying proper products needed for specific end uses.
• Complete order intake and assist customers in identifying proper products needed for specific end uses.
• Print Tickets and ship orders using the Command System for plants.
• Constantly review schedules and customer orders throughout the day to anticipate business trucking demands.
• Complete required daily reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ready mix industry experience preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience, preferably in a call center, dispatching, or similar environment.
• Previous dispatch software experience preferred.
• Computer literacy required including but not limited to Microsoft office products and the ability to type 40+ WPM.
• Ability to work independently, make decisions, and manage changing priorities while providing excellent customer service to both our customers and our drivers.
• Strong knowledge of Phoenix and surrounding areas.
• Ability to work weekends as needed.
• Positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
• Command Alkon Series software experience a plus.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
