Job summary

Platte River Concrete Co. is seeking an Order Coordinator to support customer service and daily operations by ensuring accurate order processing, efficient delivery scheduling, dispatching, and clerical support.

The ideal candidate will communicate effectively with customers, drivers, plant personnel, and management to facilitate smooth order fulfillment, contributing to professionalism, timeliness, accuracy, cost-efficiency, and ethical standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Six months to one year of office or clerical experience, including experience operating a multi-line telephone system.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with customers, employees, and partners.
• Proficiency with computer systems and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Enter customer orders accurately into the system and verify order details.
• Schedule deliveries and coordinate dispatch to ensure timely service.
• Assist with batching and logistical support to optimize delivery routes.
• Provide clerical support including data entry, filing, and documentation management.
• Communicate with customers to confirm orders, address inquiries, and provide updates.
• Liaise with drivers, plant personnel, and management to coordinate order fulfillment.
• Monitor order progress and resolve issues or discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain organized records of orders, deliveries, and related documentation.
