MV Transportation in Columbus, OH is seeking a Dispatch Manager to direct dispatchers, optimize on-time performance, and minimize passenger wait times for on-call and will-call services. You will monitor operations, adjust resources, and ensure safe, compliant service delivery.

Responsibilities include setting staff schedules, recruiting and developing dispatch personnel, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating training.

Qualificações

• Three (3) years supervisory or management experience in the transportation industry.
• Substantial experience in the operation phases of a transit organization.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Must have a strong working knowledge of Trapeze and the skills to resolve situational challenges.
• Must work effectively with fellow employees and have strong leadership characteristics.
• Must have good time management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
• Requires flexible hours, including long days and weekends.
• Must have the ability to recruit and develop staff to deliver reliable service product.
• Knowledge of service area and system parameters.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
• Demonstrated ability to manage with a “Safety First” attitude.
• Paratransit experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direction to dispatchers and maintain two-way communications while monitoring system performance to maximize on-time performance.
• Set staff schedules based on service demand and collective agreements.
• Recruit, interview and select employees in compliance with hiring practices and minimum standards.
• Ensure prompt investigation and resolution of complaints and incidents.
• Impose discipline according to company policy and collective agreements.
• Participate in labor relations strategies and relationships.
• Maintain confidentiality of records and information.
• Ensure safety regulations are observed and training is effective.
• Organize dispatch agent training programs for new hires and refresher training.
• Prepare and verify employee schedules and payroll records.
• Assign work duties to ensure adequate shift coverage.
• Monitor dispatch performance related to incidents and disruptions.
• Ensure dispatchers document daily events related to service.
