Job summary

White Cap is hiring immediately for a Dispatch Manager to lead delivery operations, recruit and manage drivers and dispatchers, and ensure on-time, safe deliveries across the branch.

The role collaborates with Warehouse and Inside Sales, emphasizes safety, routing, inventory controls, and customer service; preferred candidates have 7+ years of experience and prior supervision, routing software, and DOT compliance.

Qualifications

• Prior supervisory experience.
• Experience with routing software.
• Experience with DOT regulations and driver safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Manages, recruits, and hires all Delivery Drivers and Dispatchers.
• Ensures delivery trucks are loaded and operated in compliance with all safety standards.
• Ensures Drivers are routed effectively to meet planned and unplanned delivery commitments.
• Ensures vehicle fleet is properly maintained.
• Minimizes turn-around times through direct supervision of Drivers.
• Works with Warehouse Manager to ensure seamless integration of Delivery and Warehouse operations and proper inventory controls.
• Works closely with Inside Sales and Account Managers to resolve delivery issues, reroute trucks and make unplanned vendor pickups.
• Develops and maintains expert knowledge of the branch delivery area geography.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Generally has 7+ years of experience.
