White Cap is seeking a logistics-focused professional to establish performance metrics and cost-management processes for delivery services and fleet management. You will drive milestones that meet business and service-level objectives.

Key duties include minimizing freight costs, optimizing routes, and ensuring DOT/Hazmat compliance, while coordinating with branches on maintenance and credentials. This role requires strong leadership and hands-on analytics.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in a related discipline; 7+ years of experience in a related field.
• Experience managing freight costs and optimizing routes.
• Familiarity with DOT weight and Hazmat requirements.

Responsibilities

• Eliminates inter-branch freight expenses by optimizing LTL and small package freight.
• Improves delivery services by reducing fleet expenses and increasing revenue per vehicle.
• Manages routing and reviews DOT weight and Hazmat requirements for each vehicle.
• Uses Descartes and Geotab to support route planning, dispatch, GPS tracking, and fleet operations.
• Plans deliveries to meet SLAs and analyzes delivery tickets for proper branch allocation.
• Captures and analyzes branch inventory to optimize product distribution.
• Coordinates with branches on vehicle maintenance and lease agreements.
• Communicates with supervisors on driver/vehicle credentials for union and non-union sites.
