White Cap in Sharon Hill, PA, is seeking a Dispatch Manager to lead delivery operations. You will supervise drivers and dispatch staff, optimize routing, and ensure safety compliance for a busy branch servicing construction customers.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in dispatch or logistics, experience with routing software, knowledge of DOT regulations, and a proven supervisory track record. We offer strong benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in logistics or delivery operations.
• Experience using routing software to plan vehicle movements.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and driver safety programs.
• Experience managing delivery drivers and dispatch staff.

Responsibilities

• Manages, recruits, and hires delivery drivers and dispatchers.
• Ensures delivery trucks are loaded and operated safely.
• Routes drivers to meet planned and unplanned delivery commitments.
• Maintains vehicle fleet and oversees fleet safety compliance.
• Minimizes turnaround times through supervision of drivers.
• Coordinates with Warehouse and Inside Sales to resolve delivery issues.
• Develops knowledge of branch delivery area geography.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Typically 7+ years of experience in dispatch or logistics.

A Dispatch Manager at White Cap…

• Manages, recruits, and hires all Delivery Drivers and Dispatchers.

• Ensures delivery trucks are loaded and operated in compliance with all safety standards.

• Ensures Drivers are routed effectively to meet planned and unplanned delivery commitments.

• Ensures vehicle fleet is properly maintained.

• Minimizes turn‑around times through direct supervision of Drivers.

• Works with Warehouse Manager to ensure seamless integration of Delivery and Warehouse operations and proper inventory controls.

• Works closely with Inside Sales and Account Managers to resolve delivery issues, reroute trucks and make unplanned vendor pickups.

• Develops and maintains expert knowledge of the branch delivery area geography.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Generally has 7+ years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior supervisory experience

• Experience with routing software.

• Experience with DOT regulations and driver safety programs.
