Job summary

White Cap in Lebanon, Indiana is seeking a Dispatch Manager to lead our delivery operations on-site. You will recruit and supervise delivery drivers and dispatchers, ensure safe loading and routing, and coordinate with warehouse and sales teams to meet commitments.

The role emphasizes efficiency, DOT compliance, and strong vendor coordination in a fast-paced distribution environment with opportunities for career growth within a trusted North American contractor distributor.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years of experience in logistics or distribution.
• Experience supervising delivery drivers and dispatchers.
• Familiarity with routing software and driver safety programs.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and driver safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage, recruit, and hire delivery drivers and dispatchers.
• Ensure safe, compliant loading and operation of delivery trucks.
• Route planning to meet delivery commitments.
• Coordinate with Warehouse and Inside Sales to resolve delivery issues.
• Maintain knowledge of branch delivery area and procedures.

A_ Dispatch Manager _at White Cap…

• Manages, recruits, and hires all Delivery Drivers and Dispatchers.
• Ensures delivery trucks are loaded and operated in compliance with all safety standards.
• Ensures Drivers are routed effectively to meet planned and unplanned delivery commitments.
• Ensures vehicle fleet is properly maintained.
• Minimizes turn-around times through direct supervision of Drivers.
• Works with Warehouse Manager to ensure seamless integration of Delivery and Warehouse operations and proper inventory controls.
• Works closely with Inside Sales and Account Managers to resolve delivery issues, reroute trucks and make unplanned vendor pickups.
• Develops and maintains expert knowledge of the branch delivery area geography.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Generally has 7+ years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior supervisory experience
• Experience with routing software.
• Experience with DOT regulations and driver safety programs.
