Coastal Waste & Recycling is seeking an experienced Dispatch Manager to lead a fast-paced dispatch team. You will oversee daily operations, coordinate staffing and routes, and build strong municipal relationships to ensure safe, on-time service.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in dispatch or logistics, proven supervisory skills, and proficiency in Excel/Outlook. This on-site role offers growth within a growing waste and recycling provider.

Formación

• 3+ years of experience in dispatch, transportation, logistics, or route-based operations.
• Supervisory experience with hiring, coaching, training, and developing employees.
• Strong understanding of dispatch operations, route coordination, and service delivery.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, hire, train, coach, and develop a team of Dispatchers, establishing clear performance expectations and accountability.
• Oversee daily dispatch operations, ensuring routes are properly assigned, monitored, and completed on schedule.
• Coordinate staffing, equipment availability, and daily route coverage with the District Manager and Operations team.
• Establish and implement dispatch procedures, communication protocols, and service standards to improve operational efficiency.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with municipal contacts, providing proactive service updates and timely resolution of concerns.
• Monitor route productivity, completion rates, missed stops, and service performance to ensure goals are met or exceeded.
• Resolve operational challenges, including route delays, staffing shortages, service interruptions, and escalated customer concerns.
• Collaborate with Customer Service and Operations to coordinate route changes, customer requests, and service improvements.
• Analyze dispatch performance and operational data to identify opportunities to improve productivity and service delivery.
• Ensure accurate dispatch records, route documentation, and updates within company systems.

This is more than a dispatch role. We're looking for a strong leader who can develop a high-performing team, improve operational efficiency, and ensure routes are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

As our Dispatch Manager, you'll work closely with the District Manager and Operations team to oversee daily dispatch activities, manage route performance, and build strong relationships with municipal customers.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in dispatch, transportation, logistics, or route-based operations.
• Previous supervisory experience with demonstrated success hiring, coaching, training, and developing employees.
• Strong understanding of dispatch operations, route coordination, and service delivery.
• Experience monitoring productivity metrics and driving operational improvements.
• Ability to establish effective processes, communication standards, and performance expectations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

What Will Set You Apart

• Experience managing dispatch operations in the waste and recycling industry.
• Experience working with municipal contracts and maintaining relationships with municipal representatives.
• Familiarity with TRUX or similar dispatch and route management systems.
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Transportation, or a related field.
• Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Haitian Creole.
