Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Dispatcher to manage daily and long-range order scheduling, act as the main customer contact, and coordinate with Sales, Plant Managers, and Production Coordinators. This role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and proactive communication within a fast-paced environment.

The candidate will handle order entries, phone inquiries, and driver support on site, ensuring timely updates and adherence to company procedures while maintaining comprehensive logs and facilitating

Qualifications

• Must have technical proficiency and the ability to follow safety regulations (MSHA).
• Proven time management and organizational skills.
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with attention to detail.
• Geographic awareness and knowledge of industry practices.

Responsibilities

• Enter and schedule daily orders and plan up to 90 days ahead.
• Serve as primary contact for customers, updating on status and changes.
• Coordinate with Sales, Plant Managers, and Production Coordinators.
• Resolve order changes or delays, and log issues for liability protection.
• Ensure safety policies are followed; attend safety meetings and verify driver compliance.
• Maintain accurate logs and complete paperwork for accounting.
• Answer dispatch line for same-day and future orders in Fresno and Visalia.
• Book and verify schedules for the following day and forward planning.
• Enter customer orders into Apex and support on-site drivers and operations.
• Assist drivers with questions while on site and communicate with customers about progress.
