Fresh Del Monte Produce Inc. is seeking a Transportation Associate to coordinate truck driver activities in Philadelphia area locations including DC, Eddystone, PA. The role emphasizes safety, dependability, and customer service while ensuring deliveries are completed on schedule.

Knowledge of DOT rules and a focus on accurate scheduling and communication will be essential to support efficient routing and cost-effective transportation operations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
• Experience coordinating drivers or dispatch operations (bonus)
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to manage schedules and timelines

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service to internal and external customers
• Dispatch delivery routes and make changes as required
• Assist office manager with onboarding new drivers
• Record drivers PTO for payroll
• Coordinate and manage driver schedules to ensure on-time delivery
• Communicate daily with drivers, customers, shippers and management
• Manage tendering process via TMS to route lowest cost provider
• Track driver logs including dispatched orders and arrival times
• Record monthly tractor/trailer miles and reefer hours
• Arrange cleaning of driver uniforms and maintain on-time delivery performance 97%+
