Fresh Del Monte Produce Inc. is seeking a Transportation/Logistics Coordinator to join our team in New York. This role links Sales, customers, carriers, and internal teams to secure capacity, negotiate rates, and track active shipments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma plus training/experience in Transportation/Logistics.
• Bachelor's degree in Transportation/Logistics preferred.
• Strong knowledge of freight brokerage and carrier management.
• Experience coordinating shipments, rates, service and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Source and secure qualified carriers for customer shipments based on requirements.
• Develop and maintain a reliable carrier base and onboard new providers.
• Negotiate carrier rates and service terms balancing market conditions and costs.
• Dispatch carriers and provide pickup, delivery, and special instructions.
• Track shipments end-to-end and communicate status to partners.
• Collect confirmations, POD, and freight documentation.
• Monitor carrier performance and resolve service issues promptly.
• Coordinate recovery plans and source backup capacity when needed.
• Provide market feedback and cost guidance during quoting and onboarding.
• Maintain accurate carrier, rate, and shipment data in systems.
