Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Dispatcher to organize the daily dispatch of equipment for the Houston branch, ensuring safe and timely delivery to customers.

You will schedule drivers, assist with customer orders for deliveries and pickups, arrange emergency field repairs, and support inside sales while upholding safety and high service standards. This role is Safety Sensitive and requires a valid driver's license, DOT knowledge, and strong multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Knowledge of DOT/Federal Motor Carrier rules and regulations.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong customer service and teamwork.
• Safety-sensitive position.

Responsibilities

• Schedule drivers and organize dispatch of all equipment for the branch.
• Assist in taking customer telephone orders for deliveries, pickups and service.
• Arrange for all emergency field repairs.
• Answer customer calls and review driver schedules to fulfill requests.
• Assist Inside sales team as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
