The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking a dispatcher to coordinate vehicle movements for detainee transportation, ensuring schedules are followed and safety requirements are met.

Responsibilities include issuing departure orders, arranging coverage, maintaining vehicle records, and communicating with supervisors. A high school diploma and prior dispatcher or customer service experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous dispatcher or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
• Ability to write routine correspondence and speak effectively to groups.
• Ability to use computers and basic software as used by the department.

Responsibilities

• Issues orders for vehicle departures at specified times per posted schedules.
• Arranges for effective coverage of vehicles, Transportation Officers, or management in case of accidents or heavy traffic.
• Maintains tracking of all vehicles and vehicle history reports for fleet.
• Informs supervisor of any problems that occur with the vehicles or their passengers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
