Job summary

Newrest in Salt Lake City seeks an Assistant Dishwash Manager to oversee the Dishwash department and stand in for the Dishwash Manager as needed. This leader coordinates with Dishwash Supervisors to set the tone and drive performance while ensuring fair, respectful treatment of the team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in similar position, preferably in inflight catering or airport hub environment.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in leadership roles overseeing multiple non-exempt employees.
• Strong communication with ability to engage with non-exempt to upper management levels.
• Knowledge of OSHA, HR, and other employment laws; root cause analysis and investigation basics.
• Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and manages the work of all employees in the department.
• Motivate and inspire team members to perform above expectations with recognition programs.
• Ensure policies and client requirements are followed.
• Communicate effectively with crew and team members.
• Hold team members accountable for expectations.
• Ensure utensils and items are cleaned in a timely manner and processes are efficient.
• Empower team members to identify and resolve operational issues.
• Foresee needs or problems and develop action plans to avoid disruptions.
• Communicate with supply department for stock needs.
• Fill in as needed to maintain flow of operations.
