Job summary

Waterford Hotel Group is seeking a Dishwasher (Steward) to maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of all kitchen areas in line with brand standards and health regulations. This role supports the culinary and food & beverage teams to ensure a safe, efficient, and high-quality guest dining experience.

The position requires ability to work in a fast-paced environment, strong attention to cleanliness, and a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous hotel or restaurant experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and sanitation.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial dishwashing machines to clean dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
• Ensure proper sorting, rinsing, washing, and sanitizing of all kitchen and restaurant items.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dish room, kitchen floors, storage areas, and trash disposal areas.
• Assist with set up, cleaning, and breakdown in the cafeteria.
• Remove garbage and recycling in a timely and sanitary manner.
• Follow all Marriott safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
• Assist kitchen staff with basic cleaning and support tasks as needed.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and chemicals as required.
• Report maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to a supervisor promptly.
• Support banquet operations by ensuring timely turnover of dishes and equipment during events.
• Practice safe handling of chemicals and equipment.
