Position Details

Saint Joseph's College, located on Sebago Lake, is hiring for the Per Diem Dishwasher position in Pearsons Café.

The goal of Food Services is to model a sense of campus community through interactions between our chefs, food operations staff, and student employees that are both collaborative and cooperative. Our shared focus is to nourish the body and soul of our students through the food we serve.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Commercial dishwasher experience required.
• ServSafe certified or equivalent certificate in proper sanitation procedures and safe food handling; valid certification must be provided within 120 days and maintained thereafter.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by cleaning all cookware, small wares, and items used in food production and service.
• Practice cleaning-as-you-go and follow established cleaning procedures.
• Exercise safe techniques regarding interaction with the environment, equipment, food products, chemicals, and people.
• Ensure utensils, plates, glasses, etc., are plentiful for guests without compromising cleanliness.
• Assist chefs with basic food preparation and be cross-trained to work at various food service stations.

Safety and Compliance

Support safety and sanitation standards in line with the Safety Manual guidelines, training sessions, and all Health Department, OSHA, and ADA regulations.

Work Schedule

This position involves night and weekend hours, offers flexible scheduling, and is classified as Per Diem.
