Job summary

Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe, VT is seeking a dependable Kitchen Utility/Dishwasher to maintain cleanliness in the dishwashing area and staff dining room. You will rinse, load, and run dishes through the dishwasher, unload cleanware, and keep floors and stations sanitary.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, attend sanitation classes, and work as part of a team. Training provided; prior experience not required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate effectively with staff and customers.
• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide basic numbers and measurements.
• Reasoning ability to solve problems with limited standardization.
• Basic computer skills for checking schedules or sanitation logs.
• Must attend sanitation classes and keep up to date with procedures.

Responsibilities

• Wash all dishes, silverware, pots, pans, and equipment.
• Rinse and load dirty items into dishwashing machine; ensure cleanliness and sanitation.
• Unload clean dishes and store them properly.
• Maintain staff dining room cleanliness and fill needed items.
• Keep kitchen floors and areas sanitary; ensure safe footing.
• Take out trash and recycling at end of shift.
• Tear down dishwasher and clean at shift end.
• Perform vegetable preparation as assigned.
• Assist line cooks if needed when requested.
