Job summary

Twin Farms in Barnard, Vermont, invites applications for a Dishwasher who ensures all dishes, glassware, and kitchen equipment are clean and ready for use. This role supports culinary and service teams while maintaining Twin Farms’ high cleanliness standards.

You will collaboratively work with the culinary team, handle back-of-house tasks, and assist with basic preparation as needed, while conforming to safety and sanitation guidelines.

Qualifications

• Previous dishwashing, kitchen, restaurant, or hospitality experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and sanitation.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Dependable, punctual, and willing to support the needs of the culinary and service teams.
• Ability to safely use commercial dishwashing equipment; training will be provided.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive physical tasks.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and varied shifts based on business needs.
• Commitment to maintaining Twin Farms’ standards of professionalism, care, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment by hand or using commercial dishwashing equipment.
• Properly organize and store clean dishes, equipment, and utensils in their designated areas.
• Stock service stations, cupboards, kitchen areas, and other assigned spaces with necessary dishes, glassware, and utensils.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the dishwashing and back-of-house areas.
• Empty, clean, and sanitize trash and recycling receptacles as needed.
• Move dishwashing supplies, chemicals, and equipment from storage areas to designated workspaces.
• Assist with basic food preparation or other kitchen tasks as directed by the culinary team.
• Follow all Twin Farms standards and applicable local and state requirements related to sanitation, food safety, workplace safety, and cleanliness.
• Work collaboratively with culinary and service team members to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations.
• Assist with additional cleaning, organization, and kitchen responsibilities as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
