Job summary

Geronimo Hospitality Group is seeking a Dishwasher to maintain a clean dish room and ensure all dishes and utensils are washed, rinsed, and sanitized. This role supports food operations and assists with food preparation duties.

Qualifications

• Some previous kitchen experience preferred but not mandatory.
• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Regularly required to talk and hear.
• Requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching.
• May require occasional lifting of products weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Protective Clothing Required: Non-slip shoes.

Responsibilities

• Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes as they enter the dish room.
• Practice safe knife handling; receive training from the Chef if required.
• Return all cleaned items to their proper locations.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance on dishwashing equipment.
• Remove trash as required.
• Assist with food preparation duties as directed.
• Open and close the kitchen properly.

Job description

Position Overview

The Dishwasher will maintain a clean dish room, ensuring all dishes, glassware, and utensils are washed, rinsed, and sanitized in a timely manner. The dishwasher also supports food operations, expediting cleaned items to the cook line and other Food/Beverage areas as needed, and performs basic food preparation and preventive maintenance of dishwashing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes as they enter the dish room.
• Practice safe knife handling; receive training from the Chef if required.
• Return all cleaned items to their proper locations.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance on dishwashing equipment and communicate any issues to the Sous Chef or Executive Chef.
• Remove trash as required.
• Assist with food preparation duties as directed by the Sous or Executive Chef.
• Open and close the kitchen properly, following the opening/closing checklist for kitchen stations.
