Responsibilities

• Complete opening and closing duties as assigned.
• Wash all china, glass, and flatware using proper cleaning procedures.
• Assist with stocking of supplies when time permits.
• Participate in cleaning the kitchen and back-of-house areas.
• Load and unload items from the dishwasher to storage areas.
• Maintain a clean, dry, and safe dishwashing area.
• Follow manager’s instructions and report hazards.
• Notify management of shift information.

Position Summary

The Dishwasher is the backbone of our business. They are solely responsible for the circulation of all our tools. They ensure all the dishes, glasses, silverware, and kitchen equipment are clean and ready to use whenever needed. They ultimately support all areas of the restaurant and ensure that the flow of our business is not interrupted.

Competitive hourly rate $17–$20 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Complete opening and closing duties as assigned
• Wash all soiled china, glass, and flatware using proper cleaning procedures and equipment
• Under direction of the Chef or Sous Chef and time permitting, help with stocking of incoming supplies and perishable items using proper handling
• Participate in cleaning of the kitchen, including the entire back of the house
• Load and unload china, glass, and flatware from the dishwasher to their appropriate storage area
• Maintain a clean, dry, and safe dishwashing area and kitchen
• Follow manager’s instructions
• Report to the supervisor before leaving duty
• Follow maintenance program and cleaning schedule
• Alert management of any safety hazards immediately
• Notify management of any information pertinent to shift activities

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 18 years
• High school graduate
• Food Handler’s Card
• Ability to communicate verbally in English with management and co‑workers
• Knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment
• Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision
