Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management seeks a dedicated kitchen steward to support cooks and service staff by transporting and cleaning utensils and service ware, ensuring guests’ dining experience runs smoothly. The hotel operates around the clock, so shifts may vary in days and hours worked weekly.

Responsibilities include washing, maintaining dish machines, and keeping areas clean while adhering to health standards. Safety and neat appearance are emphasized across the team.

Qualifications

• Hold a current Food Handler Card.
• Knowledge of service ware and how to maintain same in order to compliment guest experience.
• Ability to operate commercial kitchen dish machine in accordance with hotel and health department standards.
• Ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions to enable the safe application of products and processes within the hotel.

Responsibilities

• Sort soiled ware and wash using the dish machine, then return clean ware to storage as designated.
• Keep dish machine properly cleaned and filled with water per hotel standards.
• Clean kettles, skillets, pots and pans promptly so cooks can carry out their work.
• Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel products to adhere to health standards.
• Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions to management.
