Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management is seeking a Kitchen Steward to support cooks, bus persons and servers by cleaning and sorting ware, maintaining the dish machine, and keeping areas clean in a fast-paced hotel environment in Dallas.

The role requires adherence to health standards, ability to lift up to 100 lbs, and a proactive approach to safety. A current Food Handler Card is preferred and room for growth within the hotel services team is available.

Qualifications

• Hold a current Food Handler Card.
• Knowledge of service ware and how to maintain same in order to compliment guest experience.
• Ability to operate commercial kitchen dish machine in accordance with hotel and health department standards.
• Ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions to enable the safe application of products and processes within the hotel.

Responsibilities

• Sort and wash soiled ware so it can be machine-washed properly.
• Keep dish machine clean and filled with water per standards.
• Wash kettles, pots and pans promptly for cooks.
• Perform routine cleaning to meet health standards.
• Clean and dry floors to prevent slips.
• Separate linen from debris.
• Follow all company policies and safety rules.
• Report unsafe conditions and accidents to management.
• Assist other kitchen personnel as needed.
