Job summary

Harrison Group is seeking a Dishwasher to maintain cleanliness and sanitation across kitchen areas in our Virginia Beach location. The role involves washing and sanitizing dishes and utensils, storing items properly, and disposing of waste following our protocols.

You will support kitchen staff, follow health and safety regulations, and work as part of a team with flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete restaurants training course.
• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize all dishes, silverware, cooking utensils, and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashing machines and manual methods.
• Properly store clean dishes, silverware, and kitchen tools in their designated locations.
• Remove trash and food waste from kitchen areas regularly and dispose of it in accordance with the restaurant’s waste disposal protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dishwashing station and ensure that all equipment is in proper working condition. Report any maintenance or repair needs to the manager.
• Assist kitchen staff with basic tasks such as food prep, replenishing supplies, and organizing kitchen areas as needed.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and maintaining personal hygiene.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Willingness to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive work environment.
• Ability to follow instructions and ensure that cleaning and sanitizing standards are met.
• Reliable and punctual with the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Previous experience in a similar role is a plus.

The pay range for this role is:

15 - 16 USD per hour (Holiday Inn VA Beach North)
