Job summary

Flying Horse Resort and Club in Colorado Springs is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to assist in managing maintenance across interior and exterior facilities. You will ensure club standards through daily inspections, respond to repair requests, and administer a preventive maintenance program.

The role includes overseeing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and supervising the pool equipment. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma with at least two years of engineering experience

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two years of experience as an engineer in the resort industry or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to operate power equipment and handle 75 lbs.
• Candidate should understand building mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist management and supervise maintenance operations for interior and exterior facilities and equipment.
• Ensure quality of club standards through daily inspections of facilities and public areas.
• Administer preventive maintenance program and respond to repair requests.
• Oversee operation of swimming pool, boilers, pumps, and water chemistry equipment.
• Maintain OSHA compliance and manage inventory of supplies and tools.

We're continually seeking to expand our team with individuals who have a passion for hospitality and a commitment to creating memorable experiences for our guests.Join us at Flying Horse Resort and Club, your success starts now.ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:Assists the management and supervision of maintenance operations for exterior and interior facilities and equipment including electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, fitness equipment, plumbing, HVAC systems, swimming pools, hot tubs, painting, carpentry and other maintenance work necessary to maintain the property in an optimum and efficient condition.Ensure quality of Club standards through daily inspection of Club Facilities, public areas, offices, mechanical rooms and storage areasEnsure timely response to requests by management, members, and employees for repair of equipment and furnishingsAdminister an effective preventive maintenance programResponsible for the overall mechanical, electrical and plumbing operation of the physical building to include the fire system and energy management systemOversee the operation and maintenance of swimming pool and hot tub equipment including boilers, pumps, filters and water chemistry equipmentMaintain a high level of OSHA awareness and compliance. Keep Material Safety Data Sheets up to dateAssist in the preparation of operating budgets and capital expense requestsMaintain adequate inventory of supplies, tools, and partsEnforce the rules of conduct as set forth in the Employee HandbookAbility to work any assigned shift or work scheduleAny other task, written or verbal, that is assigned by managementQUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:High school diploma or equivalent experience/trainingPleasant demeanor, ability to communicate efficiently, and clean professional appearanceMust have a valid Driver’s License and supply a current copy of DMV driving historyTwo years’ experience as an engineer in the resort industry or equivalentAbility to operate power equipment necessary for the tradeAbility to transport, handle and/or lift 75 lbs. (NOTE: maintenance equipment, air conditioning units, etc.)A working knowledge of the Federal and State regulations on HVAC, paint products, plumbing and proper disposal of engineering byproductsAbility to accomplish necessary tasks on a computerAbility to effectively communicate in the English languageMust be able to troubleshoot and repair kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, boilers and pumpsMust understand and be able to safely work with electrical power up to and including 480 volt, three phaseADDITIONAL NOTESMust possess exceptional communication and networking skills and represent Flying Horse and its ownership in a positive and professional manner at all times. Competency in dealing with members and fellow employees under circumstances requiring tact and diplomacy.
