Job summary

Sodexo at the University of Maine at Machias is hiring a full-time Dishwasher. You will maintain cleanliness in food production and service areas, clean and sanitize equipment and surfaces, and support with basic setup and breakdown tasks.

The role requires the ability to stand long hours and lift up to 50 pounds, with shifts available across all days. You will work in a flexible, supportive environment with benefits including paid time off, holidays, medical, dental, vision, tuition

Qualifications

• Knowledge of sanitation procedures, to include basic concepts of food safety.
• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Washes dishes by hand or places them in a dishwashing machine.
• Cleans and sanitizes worktables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.
• Sweeps, mops, and cleans floors; removes trash to designated areas.
• Cleans equipment using specified chemicals to ensure sanitary standards.
• Re-stocks supplies like soap, towels, and cleaning materials.
