Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a part-time Dishwasher at Maine Maritime Academy. Weekend shifts and varied schedules provide flexibility for students and staff. The role supports kitchen and facility operations by maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in food production and service areas.

Starting pay is $22.56 per hour with opportunities for growth and additional site-specific benefits. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work extended shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• No related work experience required.
• Knowledge of sanitation procedures and basic food safety.

Responsibilities

• Washes dishes by hand or uses a dishwashing machine.
• Cleans and sanitizes worktables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.
• Sweeps, mops, cleans and vacuums floors.
• Removes trash and garbage to designated areas.
• Cleans equipment with chemicals to maintain sanitary standards.
• Restocks supplies such as soap, towels, and cleaning materials.
• Significant walking or mobility is required.
• Walk or stand for extended periods, potentially over 8 hours.
• Lift up to 35 pounds regularly and occasionally 50 pounds.
• Attends work and shows up on time for scheduled shifts.
