Job summary

Concordia College Dining Services is seeking a Dishwasher to maintain cleanliness and safety of dishes, utensils, and equipment in a team‑oriented environment. The role supports daily dining operations and collaborates with student employees to provide a welcoming dining experience.

The position requires completion of ServSafe or equivalent within three months; prior food service experience is helpful but not required. This is a part‑time, non‑exempt role with varied shift options.

Qualifications

• Must possess a ServSafe certificate or pass the ServSafe exam within the first three months of employment.
• Previous food service or dishwashing experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, silverware, cookware, and equipment, returning items to serving/storage areas.
• Operate dish room equipment safely while following food safety procedures.
• Keep the dish room clean, organized, and well-stocked for daily operations.
• Monitor cleaning supplies and ensure needed items are available.
• Help provide direction and support to student and temporary staff in the dish room.
• Identify and report equipment problems to Dining Services management.
