Edge Catering in Southern Arizona is seeking a dependable, hardworking Dishwasher / Catering Support Team Member to help keep our operation running smoothly.

This part-time role involves washing dishes, handling equipment, and supporting the kitchen and catering teams during events. Flexibility with schedule is important as events occur on weekends and evenings.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, pots, pans and catering equipment.
• Operate and maintain the dishwashing area in a clean, safe, and organized manner.
• Load and unload catering equipment and supplies onto company vehicles.
• Help organize equipment and storage areas; assist kitchen and catering teams.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
• Complete other duties to support events.

Edge Catering is a family-owned catering company that has been serving Southern Arizona since 1998. With more than 300 events each year, we cater everything from weddings and corporate events to large community gatherings and private celebrations.

We are currently looking for a dependable, hardworking Dishwasher / Catering Support Team Member to help keep our catering operation running smoothly.

This position is more than just washing dishes. Our catering team handles a large amount of equipment, dishes, glassware, serving pieces, and supplies before and after every event. This position plays an important role in making sure everything is clean, organized, properly stored, and ready for the next event.

Job Responsibilities

• Washing and sanitizing dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, serving pieces, and catering equipment
• Operating and maintaining the dishwashing area in a clean, safe, and organized manner
• Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen work areas, floors, sinks, equipment, and other areas as assigned
• Taking out trash, recycling, and maintaining clean waste areas
• Loading catering equipment, food carriers, tables, supplies, and other items onto company trucks and vans
• Unloading trucks and vehicles when they return from catering events
• Properly sorting, cleaning, and returning equipment and supplies to their designated storage areas
• Checking returned equipment and supplies to make sure items are accounted for and properly put away
• Helping organize catering equipment and storage areas
• Assisting the kitchen and catering teams with basic setup, breakdown, and cleaning duties as needed
• Following all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
• Reporting damaged, missing, or improperly functioning equipment to a supervisor
• Completing other duties as needed to help prepare for upcoming catering events

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for extended periods

• Regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Safely move catering equipment, racks, boxes, and supplies
• Work around hot equipment, wet floors, cleaning products, and typical commercial kitchen conditions
• Load and unload company vehicles safely

Schedule

This is a part-time position that could work into a full-time position, with hours based on our catering and event schedule. Shifts may include weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on business needs.

Because catering schedules change from week to week, applicants should have some flexibility in their availability.
