Job summary

Milwaukee Repertory Theater is seeking a dependable Dishwasher to support our kitchen operations. You will wash and sanitize dishes, maintain cleanliness, and help keep the prep area organized while conforming to health codes.

You will work nights and weekends, collaborating with staff to ensure smooth service and high-quality patron experiences in a fast-paced theater setting.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize all dishes, kitchenware, glasses, flatware, pots and pans.
• Ensure kitchen is swept, mopped and trash/recycling is emptied nightly.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards.
• Keep station clean, organized and closed properly at shift end.
• Support general cleaning and daily task completion.
• Other duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Dishwasher will work directly with the Kitchen Manager to ensure all items are washed and sanitized in accordance with health codes, kitchen areas are cleaned and maintained to established standards and equipment is maintained properly to health codes.

Dishwasher Duties and Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize all dishes, kitchenware, glasses, flatware, pots and pans, utensils, etc.
• Ensure kitchen is swept, mopped and trash/recycling is emptied each night
• Adheres to food safety and sanitation standards
• Must be able to work positively with all staff members, independently and as part of a team
• Uphold the standards of the organization at all times
• Ensure that your station is kept clean, organized and closed properly at end of shift
• General cleaning and maintenance of work areas, complete all assigned daily tasks.
• Other duties as assigned

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to stand for up to 6 hours at a time.
• This position frequently lifts, carries, or otherwise moves and positions objects weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted.

SCHEDULE

• Must be available to work nights and weekends.
