Job summary

Kaskaid Hospitality in Sioux Falls is hiring a dishwasher to support a busy kitchen. You will wash dishes, stock supplies, and keep work areas clean while helping with food prep and event setup.

This hourly position operates across early mornings to late nights, seven days a week, with a strong focus on teamwork and hospitality. Ideal candidates communicate clearly in English, work quickly and safely, and help maintain high sanitation and organization standards in a dynamic dining environment.

Responsibilities

• Wash and rinse dishes, utensils, pots, and pans by hand or with a machine.
• Store clean items in proper areas and maintain orderly workspaces.
• Prepare foods for service and stock serving areas daily.
• Set up banquet tables and assist with event needs as required.
• Maintain sanitation rules and report equipment issues to supervisor.
• Train new staff and perform other duties as assigned.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans, using dishwashers or by hand.
• Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas.
• Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition.
• Clean or prepare various foods for cooking or serving.
• Stock supplies, such as food or utensils, in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, or salad bars.
• Set up banquet tables.
• Sweep or scrub floors.
• Clean garbage cans with water or steam.
• Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.
• Transfer supplies or equipment between storage and work areas, by hand or using hand trucks.
• Receive and store supplies.
• Prepare and package individual place settings.
• Attend in-service training and education sessions as assigned.
• Follow all designated uniform, grooming, safety and sanitation rules and regulations.
• Report necessary equipment repair and maintenance to supervisor.

This is an hourly paid position. Days and hours of work vary according to business hours and job requirements. Business operates seven (7) days a week; and hours start as early as 9 AM and can go as late as 2 AM depending on the work required.
