Come join the Outback family as a Dishwasher, where you will be responsible for the cleanliness and organization of dishes and small wares at the restaurant. Dishwashers are also responsible for trash disposal and linen bag removal. A Dishwasher will ensure that washed items meet the required rinse and wash temperature criteria. You’ll help provide each customer with an AUS-SOME dining experience by showcasing our food on perfectly clean plates and silverware.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining organization and flow while washing dishes and utensils.
• Practicing food safety and sanitation.
• Restocking kitchen and cook line as needed.
• Performing general cleaning of the restaurant.
• Managing the pace and organization of dish execution.
• Understanding how the dish machine operates and its chemical components.
• Changing out water and chemicals as needed.
• Keeping floors clean and dry.
• Ensuring plates and smallware are clean.
• Inspecting food receiving, preparation, and storage areas for safety compliance.
• Correcting unsafe practices and notifying management.

Requirements

• 1+ year BOH experience in a full-service restaurant preferred.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus.
• Team player.
• Availability to work various shifts including opens, swings, and closes.
• Ability to lift/move up to 30 lbs.
• Vision abilities including distance, close, color, depth, and peripheral vision.
• Ability to work in hot and cold environments.
