Job summary

Bigwhiskeys is seeking a dedicated dishwasher to wash and clean tableware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment, while keeping the dish room orderly. You will monitor wash cycles and ensure sanitary standards are met throughout the shift.

Responsibilities include loading and unloading the dish machine, reporting any issues, and maintaining stocks of cleaning supplies. This is a physical role that supports restaurant operations during peak hours.

Qualifications

• No prior restaurant experience required.
• Able to work in a hot, wet, humid, and loud environment.
• Physically able to lift up to 60 pounds up to 30 times per shift.
• Stand for long periods (up to 5 hours).
• Be able to lift, reach, bend and stoop as needed.

Responsibilities

• Keep the dish machine and dish room clean and organized.
• Monitor water temperature for sanitary wash cycles.
• Wash and store tableware and kitchenware.
• Be available to fill in to ensure smooth operations as directed by management.
• Assist with light prep and portioning.

Summary of Position:

Wash and clean tableware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment. Keep the dish room and equipment clean and organized.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Load, run, and unload dish machine
• Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately
• Monitor dish machine's water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle
• Wash and store tableware and kitchenware
• Keep dish room clean and organized
• Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for the dining room and kitchen
• Preform trash audits every 15 minutes
• Bag and haul dish room trash to dumpster at appropriate times
• Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss
• Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies
• Clean food preparation and production areas as required
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor
• Help with light prep and portioning

Qualifications:
