Brief Description

The Dishwasher works behind the scenes to ensure the kitchen area is clean, safe, and sanitary at all times. This role is essential in delivering a high-quality culinary experience for residents. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for china, glassware, tableware, and utensils using machines and manual cleaning methods. The position also involves sweeping kitchen floors, mopping stockrooms, and reporting hazards to the Culinary Supervisor or Director. The dishwasher reports to the Culinary Supervisor or Director and is part of the Culinary department. Our dishwashers focus on efficiency and thoroughness to meet residents’ culinary needs, understanding the importance of details in creating a positive mealtime presentation.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

• Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glassware, and utensils; place them in racks for dishwashing.
• Stack and carry clean dishes to storage or the cook’s line.
• Wash pots, pans, trays, dishes, and utensils by hand as directed.
• Sweep and sanitize kitchen floors, take out trash.
• Mop stockrooms and report hazards.
• Follow all sanitation and safety standards.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by supervisors.
