Job summary

Commonwealth-Lodging-Management-LL is seeking a utility dishwasher to operate the restaurant and kitchenware washing system in a hotel setting. You will assist in washing pots, pans and other utensils, while keeping dishwashing, kitchen and storage areas clean and organized.

The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 100 pounds, and working in varied temperatures and noise levels. Education of high school diploma or GED is preferred, with 1–2 years in food and beverage

Position SummaryThe utility dishwasher adheres to hotel specifications and standards in operating the dishwashing machine to wash designated restaurant and kitchenware, clean and maintain equipment and dishwashing/kitchen/compactor and storage areas. Assist in washing pots, pans and other kitchen utensils/equipment. Complete other projects as assigned. This industry functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four (24) hours a day.Physical responsibilities include carrying a large oval tray with 6 covered dinners, approximately 20 pounds. Push/pull carts and other equipment up to 100 pounds. Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas. Work environment - restaurant, and all areas of the hotel. Job involves working under variable temperature conditions and noise levels, in indoor and outdoor settings. Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for lengthy periods of time.Preferred QualificationsEducation: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): or Work EquivalentRelated Work Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in food and beverage is preferred.Supervisory Experience: None.
