Job summary

Dean and Deluca in New York is seeking a dishwasher to maintain a steady supply of clean dishes, protect kitchen cleanliness and support the BOH team.

You will stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays; training provided and uniforms supplied. This role supports a fast-paced kitchen and requires teamwork and reliability.

Qualifications

• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods as required in a kitchen environment.
• Able to bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
• May involve repetitive motion.
• Exposure to hot kitchen elements or cleaning materials.

Responsibilities

• Aides in cleaning inside and outside the venue.
• Properly stores and removes garbage and soiled linens.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of dish station, the kitchen and the BOH area in accordance with Health Department.
• Follow supervisor’s instructions, communicate with and support co-workers while being a team player.
• Possesses in-depth knowledge of the dish machine.
• Possesses in-depth knowledge of proper usage of cleaning chemicals, equipment and supplies.
• Communicates product needs to the chefs and/or purchaser.
• Properly sets-up dish station and performs opening/closing procedures as directed by management.
• Reports all breakage, damage of equipment or furniture immediately to management.
• Portrays a positive and professional attitude.
• Maintain professional appearance standards as directed in the Employee Handbook.
