Job summary

Ironbound Projects is seeking a dedicated dishwasher to keep the kitchen supplied with clean plates, bowls, silverware, pots, pans and glasses. The role supports a fast-paced venue and ensures steady operation of the dish station.

You will follow health and safety guidelines, assist with opening/closing procedures, and work with the kitchen team to maintain cleanliness, organize supplies and report breakages.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand, lift and bend for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Aides in cleaning inside and outside the venue.
• Properly stores and removes garbage and soiled linens.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of dish station, the kitchen and the BOH area in accordance with Health Department.
• Follow supervisor’s instructions, communicate with and support co-workers while being a team player.
• Possesses in-depth knowledge of the dish machine.
• Possesses in-depth knowledge of proper usage of cleaning chemicals, equipment and supplies.
• Communicates product needs to the chefs and/or purchaser.
• Properly sets-up dish station and performs opening/closing procedures as directed by management.
• Reports all breakage, damage of equipment or furniture immediately to management.
• Portrays a positive and professional attitude.
• Maintain professional appearance standards as directed in the Employee Handbook.

Position Summary

The dishwasher is responsible for cleaning dishes to ensure that the kitchen has a steady supply of clean plates, bowls, silverware, pots, pans and glasses.
