Job summary

The Lofton Hotel in Minneapolis, part of Hilton's Tapestry Collection, is looking for a team member to support dishwashing and kitchen operations. No prior experience is required, and compensation is $19.88 per hour.

You will operate the dish machine, unload and store dishes, keep the kitchen clean, ensure floor safety, handle cleaners safely, restock supplies, and assist with event setup and duties. Benefits include a free meal per shift, room and restaurant discounts at Marcus Hotels & Resorts

• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 75 lbs, push up to 150 lbs, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to change activities quickly and work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain dish machine to standards, processing dishes and utensils efficiently.
• Unload dish machine, stack, store, and return dishes and utensils to proper areas of the kitchen.
• Maintain cleanliness in dish area and kitchen, including disposal and general cleaning tasks.
• Ensure floor safety by sweeping, mopping, drying, and transporting soiled ware.
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely, wipe countertops, restock supplies, and assist with equipment movement.
• Set up equipment and bus stations for efficient service and assist with event needs.

What will you be doing?

• Operate and maintain dish machine to standards, efficiently processing dishes and utensils.

• Ensure floor safety by sweeping, mopping, and drying, and transport soiled ware to designated areas.
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely, wipe down countertops, restock supplies, and assist with equipment movement.
• Set up equipment and bus stations for efficient service, anticipating event order needs and performing additional assigned duties.

What do you bring to the role?

• No prior experience required.Past experience in fast food, stewarding, stocking merchandise, food service, restaurants or general housekeeping helpful.
• Ability to tolerate varied working conditions and perform physical activities like standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 75 lbs, pushing up to 150 lbs, and working in fast-paced, noisy, and potentially confining environments.
• Must be able to change activities quickly.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
