Job summary

HHS is hiring a Dishwasher at Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Kentucky. The role is part of the culinary team, with shifts including day, evening, and night. Pay is $14.00 per hour, with full-time and part-time positions available and mandatory background checks and drug screens.

Applicants must be at least 18, capable of standing for long periods, and able to work well in a team while maintaining hygiene and uniforms. Location is Jackson Purchase Medical Center, Kentucky.

Qualifications

• Must practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and be in uniform.

Responsibilities

• Maintain order and cleanliness of the kitchen, dining room, and storeroom.
• Put away deliveries, label and date products, and break down boxes.
• Stock and monitor towels and soap dispensers throughout the shift.
• Clean and return all kitchen equipment and serving ware in a timely manner.
• Set up and maintain a 3-compartment sink and dish machine.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, and spot clean floors and high-traffic areas.
• Monitor and empty trash cans.
• Adhere to the facility's health and safety policies and procedures.
• Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently.

Physical Requirements

• Capable of prolonged standing and walking continuously, pushing dish racks, frequent stooping, bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds
• Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job
• Preferred: Culinary experience (cook, commercial kitchen, fast food, hotel operations, healthcare, dishwasher, housekeeping, janitor, custodian)
