Job summary

HHS Culinary and Nutrition Solutions, LLC (USA) in Murray Calloway County Hospital is seeking a friendly, team-oriented Dishwasher / Cashier for the hospital cafeteria. You will maintain a clean kitchen, sanitize utensils, and assist with stocking and inventory, while delivering warm service to patients and staff.

Positions are hourly, with day/evening/night shifts available. Applicants must be 18+, pass a background check, and be eligible to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment.
• Must practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and be in uniform.

Responsibilities

• Maintain order and cleanliness of the kitchen, dining room, and storeroom
• Put away deliveries, label and date products, and break down boxes
• Stock and monitor towels and soap dispensers throughout the shift
• Clean and return all kitchen equipment and serving ware in a timely manner
• Set up and maintain a 3-compartment sink and dish machine
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, and spot clean floors and high-traffic areas
• Monitor and empty trash cans
• Adhere to the facility’s health and safety policies and procedures
• Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently
• Cater to all customer needs and treat every customer with respect, friendliness, and a smile
• Balance the cash drawer and discuss discrepancies with management
• Stock and monitor supply levels of condiments, utensils, and grab-and-go items

We're looking for friendly, compassionate, team players to join our culinary team! Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment for the hospital cafeteria. Sanitize all pots, pans, utensils, and equipment in a timely manner. Support stocking and inventories by shelving and organizing delivered food and items.

Physical Requirements

• Capable of prolonged standing and walking continuously, pushing dish racks, frequent stooping, bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds
• Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job

Preferred

• Culinary experience (cook, commercial kitchen, fast food, hotel operations, healthcare, dishwasher, housekeeping, janitor, custodian)
