Job summary

The Buttery in Malvern, PA is seeking a Dishwasher to keep dishes sparkling and the kitchen running smoothly. This hands-on role is fast-paced and team-oriented, with on-the-job training provided.

You’ll help maintain cleanliness, support prep, and ensure health and safety standards across the kitchen, storeroom, and service areas while contributing to a vibrant cafe culture.

Qualifications

• Reliable, hard-working, and able to lift up to 50 lbs in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player with a positive attitude, flexible availability, and willingness to support various tasks as needed.
• Previous experience is a plus, but on-the-job training is provided for candidates eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using industrial dishwashing machines or manual methods.
• Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen and dishwashing areas, including floors, sinks, and counters.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in all cleaning and sanitation tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen, storage, and service areas, including routine trash, recycling, and compost removal, reporting any issues to management.
• Support kitchen operations by restocking clean items, assisting with prep, and jumping in where needed.
• Help with general upkeep of interior and exterior areas, including cleaning floors, surfaces, and shared spaces.
• Support organization and maintenance of kitchen inventory, cold storage, and dry goods, ensuring items are properly labeled, stored, and stocked.

Responsibilities

Dishwashing & Sanitation

• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using industrial dishwashing machines or manual methods.
• Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen and dishwashing areas, including floors, sinks, and counters.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in all cleaning and sanitation tasks.

Utility & Maintenance

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen, storage, and service areas, including routine trash, recycling, and compost removal, reporting any issues to management.
• Support kitchen operations by restocking clean items, assisting with prep, and jumping in where needed.

General Support

• Support organization and maintenance of kitchen inventory, cold storage, and dry goods, ensuring items are properly labeled, stored, and stocked.
• Assist with setting up and breaking down kitchen stations and equipment at the beginning and end of shifts.
• Handle cleaning supplies with care, ensuring proper storage and safe usage at all times.
