Position Overview

The Dishwasher provides hands-on support in various food service functions within the culinary department. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of food service areas, facilities, and equipment. You may assist with some food preparation tasks. The role requires delivering high-quality service and cleanliness consistently.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

• Maintain community standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization.
• Adhere to food quality, appearance, and presentation standards.
• Perform kitchen activities such as ware-washing, dish and pot cleaning, general cleaning, storing supplies, and food prep assistance.
• Assist with setting and clearing tables and workstations.
• Clean and sanitize equipment, surfaces, and kitchen areas.
• Follow policies regarding diets served correctly.
• Represent the community warmly, creating a positive environment.
• Support a culture of hospitality and excellent customer service.
• Ensure resident safety and confidentiality.
• Follow directions accurately and complete tasks timely and correctly.
• Attend required training and participate in team meetings.
• Work cooperatively with residents, staff, and other providers.
• Observe safety and infection control policies.
• Maintain a professional appearance and punctuality.
• Accept feedback and perform duties professionally.

Qualifications

• Six months of utility or dishwashing experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow supervisor’s instructions.
• High personal integrity and genuine concern for seniors and their families.
• Must receive the annual Flu vaccine unless exempted for medical or religious reasons.
