Job summary

La Posada Green Valley, AZ seeks a dependable dishwasher to keep the kitchen clean, organized and sanitary, handling glassware, tableware and utensils to meet high hygiene standards for a smooth dining operation.

You will assist the kitchen team with dishwashing, hand washing pots and pans, trash removal, and area setup. This role offers good work/life balance, on-site fitness facilities and health insurance options in a supportive community.

Responsibilities

• Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glassware, and other utensils and place them in racks for the dish machine.
• Sort and stack clean dishes; carry to proper storage areas and rewash soiled items before delivering.
• Change dishwater in the dish machine every hour.
• Wash pots, pans and trays by hand.
• Remove trash and garbage to dumpster.
• Set up or break down the dishwashing area.
• Clean and roll/unroll mats.
• Fill/empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions.
• Sweep/mop floors.
• Assemble/disassemble the dish machine.
• Wipe spills to keep kitchen floors dry and safe.
• Notify supervisor if dish machine temps fall below safety standards.
• Do not touch dirty dishes before touching clean dishes without washing hands.
• Take on additional duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Position Summary

The role of a dishwasher is integral to upholding the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, thereby enhancing the overall efficiency and success of the restaurant. Specifically, the Dishwasher position entails maintaining impeccable cleanliness and sanitation standards for glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, and related items through both machine and manual cleaning methods. Additionally, the incumbent is responsible for ensuring that the dishwashing area functions as a clean, safe, and sanitary facility, contributing to the overall hygiene and smooth operation of the establishment.

Essential Functions

• Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through dish machine.
• Sort and stack clean dishes. Carry clean dishes to cook's line and other proper storage areas. Rewash soiled dishes before delivering.
• Change dishwater in dish machine every hour.
• Wash pots, pans and trays by hand.
• Remove trash and garbage to dumpster.
• Set up or break down dishwashing area.
• Clean and roll/unroll mats.
• Fill/empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions.
• Sweep/mop floors.
• Assemble/disassemble dish machine.
• Wipe up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry.
• Notify supervisor any time dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures.
• Do not touch dirty dishes before touching clean dishes without washing hands first.
• Participate in additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor, aligned with qualifications and can be reasonably expected to be completed with minimal orientation.

Work in building environment with cooling and heating. Exposure to warm or hot temperatures due to the machinery and equipment used. Exposure to steam. Exposure to utensils that may be temperature hot from the oven or stove.
