Qualifications

• Proven experience as a dishwasher.

Responsibilities

• Receives and washes soiled dishes following sanitary guidelines.
• Cleans equipment and dish areas; maintains storage areas.
• Assist with basic food preparation under supervision.
• Keep workspaces, equipment, and trays clean and organized.
• Load/unload dishwasher and store clean items properly.
• Use food supplies efficiently to minimize waste.
• Follow cleaning techniques and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Communicate with Chef/Cook to meet residents' needs.
• Attend in-service education and apply learned tasks.
• Adhere to confidentiality and privacy laws; perform other duties as assigned.

The Dishwasher will handle basic food preparation, washing dishes, pots and pans, equipment cleaning, kitchen sanitation in accordance with Traditions, Inc. and Health Department regulations.

Responsibilities

• Receives, collects soiled dishes; washes dishes according to sanitary guidelines and rules;
• Cleans equipment as assigned by chef or cook;
• Help with basic food preparation under direction of chef or cook as directed, in compliance with Safe food handling;
• Maintains dishwashing areas and dishware storage areas in clean condition at all times in accordance with rules and regulations and as directed by chef;
• Cleans workspaces, cooking and serving equipment, trays, and dishes according to department procedures.
• Loads and unloads the dishwasher; stores clean equipment and dishes in designated areas.
• Uses food supplies and equipment in an efficient manner to prevent waste.
• Uses food preparation equipment properly and follows proper cleaning techniques and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Communicates with Chef or Cook throughout the shift as needed to best meet needs of the residents.
• Attends in-service education as assigned and applies information to job tasks.
• Complies with the Community's Confidentiality and Privacy practices and procedures related to resident and employee records and all state/federal privacy laws.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a dishwasher.
• Further experience in customer service will be appreciated
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines
• Friendly with good communication skills
• Good physical condition and stamina
• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in food services is a plus
