The Dishwasher maintains cleanliness and ensures sanitation standards for all kitchen equipment, pans, pots, racks, cooking utensils, chinaware, silverware; using machine and manual cleaning methods. Guarantees areas used to complete tasks are maintained clean, safe, and sanitary facility.
Dishwasher Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties as assigned
- Maintains a safe and sanitary work and guest area through consistent cleaning, organizing, and replenishing of necessary items.
- Scrub and rinse pots, pans, cooking equipment and utensils, chinaware, glassware, silverware, sending as needed on racks through the dishwasher machine.
- Sort and transport clean dishes to replenish work stations such as cooks line and other proper storage areas.
- Sets up and breaks down dish stations, including dish machines and sinks.
- Maintains clean and dry floors throughout the shift, wiping up any spills that might occur.
- Changes water of machines and sinks every two hours, or more often as required by business volume levels, and properly uses chemical dilutions set by supplier.
- Maintains trash cans throughout shifts and removes full trashcans and boxes at the end of each shift. Washes and scrubs the containers as needed.
- Maintains or exceeds standards of personal appearance, grooming, cleanliness, and hygiene. This includes wearing proper uniform at all times while working.
- All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Dishwasher Qualifications and Skills:
- Regularly stand and walk for eight to ten hours; climb sets of stairs repetitively throughout shift; occasionally required to sit, bend, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Consistently reach shoulder level, above head, below waist; push, pull, lift and carry twenty-five (25) pounds including up flights of stairs, occasionally lift excess of fifty (50) pounds.
- Must be able to work in environmental exposure to low or high volume noise, cold, heat, water, and cleaning materials.
- Passible understanding of English Language, writing skills and basic mathematics.
