Job summary

The Goodman Group, LLC is seeking a Culinary Assistant to support our dietary operations and assist in all food service tasks for our residents. You will help prepare meals, maintain sanitary standards, and support dining room operations to ensure high-quality service.

Essential duties include serving meals, setting up trays, assisting with bussing and cleaning, and ensuring proper distribution of food and utensils.

Qualifications

• Must meet all applicable state and federal requirements for this position.
• Food service and/or hospitality experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance.
• Provide Platinum Service® to residents, guests and staff.
• Prepare food in accordance with sanitary regulations and established policies.
• Assist in daily and scheduled cleaning duties.
• Set up meal trays, food carts and the dining room as instructed.
• Distribute and collect menus as necessary.
• Set up and prepare food for the upcoming meal.
• Assist with bussing tables during and after meals.
• Check meal trays for accuracy before distribution.
• Ensure appropriate equipment and utensils are provided with the resident's meal tray.
• Deliver food carts and trays to designated areas.
• Assist with set up and refill of catering or buffet functions.
• Prepare and deliver snacks as instructed.
• Maintain a clean work area and kitchen; sweep and mop as needed.
• Assist with cleaning the dining area and backroom kitchen area.

The primary purpose of this position is to provide assistance in all dietary functions as directed/instructed and in accordance with established Culinary Operations policies and procedures.

Essential Job Functions

• Assist with the set up and refill of catering and/or buffet functions.
• Prepare and deliver snacks as instructed.
• Ensure that food and supplies for the next meal are readily available.
• Assist in food preparation as requested.
• Maintain a clean work area and kitchen by sweeping and mopping as needed.
• Assist with cleaning the dining area and the backroom kitchen area as needed.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
