Job description

ASM GLOBAL, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Dishwasher for ASM GLOBAL / Savor. SAVOR… is proud to be the exclusive Food & Beverage provider at Savor/Dayton Convention Center. Responsible for maintaining all small wares, utensils, kitchen equipment, food preparation areas, and small wares storage areas in a clean and organized manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Scrape, wash, sanitize, and properly store all china, flatware, glassware, utensils, and other kitchen equipment in accordance with SAVOR… standards and Health Department regulations.
2. Ensure that dirty small wares are collected from all scullery collection points and returned to the dish area. Ensure that clean small wares are organized and returned to the appropriate storage area.
3. Maintain the kitchen and small wares storage areas in an organized fashion.
4. Clean and organize all food prep areas throughout the facilities daily.
5. Monitor floors for potential slip hazard maintaining a clean and dry floor by sweeping and mopping.
6. Provide assistance to Front of House as needed due to event volume.
7. Set up and break down stations for events.
8. Organize and set up plates, lids, hot boxes and tables for plate up and assist in plating.
9. Transport loaded hot boxes to pass out stations.
10. Provide busing and cleanup support for Food & Beverage services as needed.
11. Disposal of Trash including hosing out garbage cans.
12. Meet SAVOR… uniform and appearance standards at all times.
13. Other duties as needed and instructed by management.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

1. Previous experience operating a commercial dish machine is preferred.
2. Basic food preparation experience is preferred.
3. Ability to take direction and work well in a team environment.
4. Ability to work calmly and effectively in a high-pressure environment.

Skills and Abilities

1. This position will require long periods of standing, walking and navigating stairs.
2. Direct contact with guests, managers and employees.
3. This position works in a loud noise environment.
4. Must be able to transport up to 50 pounds.
5. Ability to move heavy (200+ pounds) wheeled carts.
6. Must have the ability to work late hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
