Overview

Elderwood Village at Greece is seeking a part-time dishwasher to join our team. The schedule is variable, with 20 hours per week, including every other weekend.

Dishwasher team members help ensure the health and well-being of our residents by managing dish room tasks such as clearing, soaking, scraping, washing, air drying, and storing china and utensils used in food service. They also assist with daily cleaning and sanitation duties in food production areas.

Responsibilities

1. Carry out clearing, scraping, and loading dishes and utensils into the dish machine; empty the dish machine and store dishes after air drying.
2. Clean the dish machine, sinks, and counters; remove all garbage from work areas and kitchen.
3. Maintain cleanliness and good condition of work area equipment.
4. Properly dispose of garbage in designated receptacles outside the building.
5. Mop floors in work areas after each meal.
6. Follow daily cleaning schedules.
7. Assist in clearing dining room tables when needed.
8. Help with receiving and storing food deliveries.
9. Replenish soap and detergent supplies as needed.
10. Attend facility meetings, staff meetings, and required training sessions.
11. Perform all duties following safety rules and standards to ensure safety of staff, residents, and visitors.
12. Understand and reference all relevant policies and procedures.
13. Use electronic timekeeping systems as directed.
14. Arrive on time, work as scheduled, and follow dress code including wearing a name tag at all times.
15. Follow policies regarding electronic devices and communication tools.
16. Support and uphold Elderwood’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
17. Adhere to Elderwood’s code of conduct, compliance, and HIPAA policies.
18. Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 16 years of age.
• Employment Certificate/Permit required if applicable.
• Prior customer service experience preferred.
• ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Physical stamina for continuous activity.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in food service, hospitality, or restaurant work is a plus.

This position involves regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors. Candidates must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English at an intermediate or higher level to ensure a safe work environment and effective communication.
